VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT & MARKETING COORDINATOR

An opportunity has arisen in the Volunteering Bay of Plenty team for someone to join us to cover for a year’s parental leave.

We are looking for the right person to join our team. Do you have marketing and/or volunteer management experience? Are you reliable, able to adapt to changes and easily pick up different software? Do you like to help others? Not afraid to ask if you don’t know anything? Then we would like to hear from you!
Some of the responsibilities associated with this role:

 

  • Assisting organisations and volunteers with their requirements

  • Organising and attendance at Expos and Events.

  • Finding suitable projects for students in schools and universities

  • Working with Employer Volunteer Programmes and Corporate Volunteering, matching volunteers with activities, events and organisations

  • Answering emails, phone calls and other customer service assistance

  • Organising catering for the Board and other meetings/events

  • Developing marketing campaigns for events, expos and our organisation

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the NFP voluntary sector in our region

  • Confidence with different computer programmes and packages, ability to learn and use new programmes

  • Management of relationships and building networks

  • Experience or ability to learn to work with a database system

  • Knowledge and understanding of the volunteering ethos

  • Good communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to represent Volunteering BOP.

  • Full Driving licence

  • Be of tidy appearance

Place of work: The Kollective, 17th Avenue, Tauranga

Start date: Monday 2nd of September, Monday

2 weeks training will be provided by the current employee. Hours and days of work are negotiable.
