Since coming onboard at Volunteering Bay of Plenty late last year, the team and I have been working hard to revitalise our Volfest event brand and bring the event back to life.
After the unfortunate cancellation of Volfest in 2020 due to COVID-19, I’m pleased to announce that our inaugural Volfest event will be taking place on June 25th at the Baycourt Theatre in Tauranga.
This is just the first of a series of Volfest events! The Volfest brand will now be the umbrella for a series of events designed to inform, engage and connect Volunteering-based organisations, enabling businesses and, of course, potential Volunteers. Under the Volfest brand, Volbop will participate at events hosted by other organisations, manage or co-host events on behalf of other organisations, and host Volfest events.
Why attend Volfest June 2021?
- The need for Volunteers in many community organisations is at an all-time high, and having a sense of community in the current global climate is vital.
- For individuals, Volunteering brings new skills and experience, boosting job and career prospects. In addition, it is a great way to improve physical and mental health and make new connections. Volfest will allow you to network and find new opportunities.
- For Volunteer Engaging Organisations, Volfest will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with people interested in Volunteering.
- For businesses/corporates, it will be inspirational as you consider your social responsibility goals, employee giving, and employee Volunteering.
Entry is free (koha basis) to the public, and we’d love to see you there!
