Thanks again for the new volunteer contacts that are coming in now and especially that you put the All Blacks on to us for their one day service opportunity.
Our programmes at Welcome Bay, Merivale and Arataki schools are now filling up with new volunteer helpers so a big thanks to you guys for your help. The volunteers you have passed our way have been fantastic and the highlight of my 10 years of working at Welcome Bay School was the All Blacks guys paying a visit to work with our boys. I think the men and boys all enjoyed the experience. The other recent addition came from your web site & he has been preparing wood work projects for our boys & showing the boys some trade tips from his career as a joiner. His expertise has been fantastic.

Bay Conservation Alliance has been a member of Volunteer Bay of Plenty (VolBOP) for nearly a year now and considers this a valued partnership. Through this arrangement we receive volunteer enquiries and then filter them through to our various member groups, helping to place volunteers in suitable projects. In addition, we have had the opportunity to connect larger groups of volunteers with some project needs of our members’ groups. VolBOP have also assisted with volunteer job description development and we look forward to working together more on this in the future. It has also been valuable to share ideas around volunteer recognition, an important aspect to show thanks across our volunteer networks.
“The team at Volunteering Bay of Plenty undertake a wide variety of projects that help our community by engaging the Tauranga community to voluntarily contribute their time and efforts. We encourage and seek support their work when we can.”
